Event Summary:
PH Haiyan proudly launches the ππ«ππ ππ₯ππ§ππ’π§π ππ«π¨π£πππ ππ₯π¨π§π ππ²π©ππ¬π¬ ππ¨ππ π’π§ ππππ₯π¨πππ§ ππ’ππ², a climate resilience initiative made possible through close coordination with our government partners.
It started when PH Haiyan wrote to DPWH8 and DENR8, proposing a collaborative effort to green the Bypass Road and strengthen Taclobanβs climate defenses. Upon the PH Haiyanβs request, DPWH team conducted a site inspection, identifying areas along the road fit for planting. We then coordinated with DENR to ensure the species we plant are safe, native, and will not pose any threat or disturbance to road infrastructure.
Today, we will not just plant trees, we will be planting and GROWING for resilience, hope, and a greener future for Tacloban.
