PH Haiyan Advocacy, Inc. continues to seek the resumption of its Adopt-a-Tree Project along the Tacloban Bypass Road following its temporary suspension in August 2025. The organization has formally requested DPWH to reconsider Department Order No. 73, Series of 2014, which restricts planting within national-road rights-of-way, and to provide technical justifications, updated road right-of-way records, and renewed inter-agency coordination. Through correspondence from August 2025 to September 2026, PH Haiyan has advocated for a science-based approach that promotes roadside greening while protecting public safety.
